A Hermès window is more than a display. It is a temporary stage where art, craftsmanship and imagination converge to create stories that extend beyond the objects themselves.

Each year, we respond to the Maison's annual theme, transforming an abstract idea into an immersive world that engages both the city and those who pass by. For a fleeting moment, the shopfront becomes an invitation to pause, offering an unexpected encounter within the rhythm of everyday life.

Over the years, these worlds have taken the form of enchanted forests, celestial landscapes, gardens, spacecraft, suns and moons, inhabited by travellers, animals and imagined characters. While each installation possesses its own visual language, all are united by the same ambition: to create an emotional connection before a commercial one.

For Studio Chen Lu, the story emerges through the relationships between object, material, light and space. Colour, scale and emptiness are carefully composed, allowing each element to gain meaning through its connection to the whole. The Hermès object is never isolated, but exists in dialogue with everything around it.

These installations exist only for a season, yet their impact often lingers long after they disappear. They remind us that a shopfront can become more than a place of display. It can become a moment of imagination, where craftsmanship and storytelling meet in a single glance.
